Larry Mizel, 62, is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. Mr. Mizel has been a Director of MDC since founding the Company in January 1972. Previously, he was President of the Company from March 1996 through July 1999. Mr. Mizel also serves as a Director of Richmond American Homes of Colorado, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company. Mr. Mizel graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1964, and with a JD from the University of Denver College of Law in 1967. He is one of the founders and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, an international Jewish human rights organization based in Los Angeles. |
